What are the best on-line companies to special Order Comics from?
Can someone please comprise a list? I am trying to find the best companies besides Mile High Comics. Please help-thank you.
Mile High sucks.
I like Lone Star Comics – http://www.mycomicshop.com – Their back issues are very reasonably priced most of the time. But here’s the catch – you pay extra for bags/boards. Believe me when I say its’ worth it. I was on a subscription with them for a while, without bags/boards and every time I got a shipment from them, like 1/3 of them were damaged (bent corners). So all the money I saved from them ended up being wasted so I can replace The Comic they damaged. Now when I order from them, I just bay the extra couple of bucks just to insure my shipment gets to em undamaged.
Another good service is http://www.atomicavenue.com – Once again, there’s a catch. It’s not it’s own stand alone store but an online mall if you will. When you place your order, be aware of the sellers you are ordering from because each seller charges their own shipping rate, which adds up quick if you order 10 books from 10 different sellers. Once you know the system it’s great, though. Many sellers offer great, cheap shipping rates, so if you order all through one seller, expect a great deal.
I get my subscriptions through G-Mart – http://www.g-mart.com. Their sub prices are unbeatable, but once again, you pay extra for bags/boards. The site takes a little getting used to, but once you’re familiar with it, it’s very friendly. But be warned, their back order prices have a tendency to be pretty high. They are very fast with communication, too.
